Zanna balances studio, plein-air work and The Watermill Gallery curation alongside her commitments with her family. Throughout the year she adds new work to this website. This webpage acts as a virtual gallery, presenting all that’s currently available. Sometimes Zanna’s work gets added to the show she’s curating in The Watermill, Aberfeldy; other times it is added to her annual solo show in the Watermill space. The artist also exhibits at The Lime Tree Gallery in Bristol and other group shows around the country. Shipping within the UK is usually done with Aardvark Art Couriers or Paul Gilzean within Scotland. Work overseas is a more individual process with Pack & Send in Edinburgh. Every year clients are surprised at the breadth of Zanna’s travel across Scotland, the range of media she uses and the experimental, gestural and intuitive approach to her painting practice. She works on a wide range of scales and her prices reflect this – jumping from a small work on linen for £320 to a large full scale 6ft x 4ft oil on board for £3,200. Sometimes unframed ink drawings and small studies are sold following the Artist Support Pledge model whereby works are sold unframed for under £250.
Hopefully, a client can find something suitable and price plans can also be made at discretion for paying for a painting in instalments. Commissions are undertaken and this year this will take her to Torridon, the Ayrshire Coastline, Cornwall and Sennan and the Cairngorms. Please email if a commission interests you. Zanna holds an annual solo show exhibiting her paintings and exploring her love of Scotland’s coastlines and more recently, her paintings closer to home around Aberfeldy, the Cairngorms, Crieff Road and Torridon peninsula. The image opposite shows Silence (acrylic on board, 39 x 56cm, £720).
Zanna has had an incredible nearly 4 years running and curating The Watermill Gallery. She’s had 3 solo shows of her own in the space and had 15 or so other group shows representing artists of all ages – both established and young new emerging artists – over 100 makers and artists have been exhibited since 2021.
