New Curator at The Watermill Gallery

Gallery Manager & Communications Administrator Diane Schneider hands over the reins to Zanna Wilson in her new role as artist and gallerist on 1st June 2021 launching with her already planned solo show Road to the Isles accompanied by the mild steel sculptures of Skye based painter and sculptor James Newton Adams. In these uncertain Covid times, it was time for the Gallery to have a new approach and Zanna hopes to make the space a very dynamic non-static space with many artistic endeavours, talks, events and collaborations. With the global success of the Lockdown initiative The Artist’s Support Pledge there has never been a greater awareness and appreciation among artists of artists helping artists and small businesses helping each other so Zanna will not take the usual 50% commission that galleries demand but 40%. There will be at least 6 new exhibitions a year of a wide subject matter as well as pop ups and a chance to interact with the act of creativity itself through talks and workshops. On the opening Friday of Zanna’s Road to the Isles show the Gallery will have a Private View with a difference; The Feasts Ballintaggart will host a spectacular 5 course feast for an exclusive 20 people offering tastes from the Isles for a Feast of All the Senses. More dinners are in the pipeline and as Covid restrictions ease we hope Friday Feasts will become a signature Watermill Gallery event. Watch this space!

Ballintaggart will be hosting the booking services for this venture and more dates will be updated shortly.
