Zanna has studied at Winchester School of Art, Edinburgh University, Universidad Autonoma, Madrid and Leith School of Art, Edinburgh. Having worked in art galleries and catering for four years after university Zanna turned to painting full time. Since then she has had a series of sell-out shows and her work is held globally and throughout the UK. Zanna is working towards being a member of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour.

In March 2021, the artist was offered the chance not only to present a solo exhibition with The Watermill Gallery, but to also curate and run the space with the liberty to put her own signature on the already well established gallery. This has complemented her interest in running an art gallery and lead on from her Masters degree from Edinburgh in History of Art.
