Zanna Wilson was born in Portsmouth in 1978 to Scottish parents. She has spent her adult life living and working in Scotland, settling in rural Perthshire, where she keeps a studio and is curator of The Watermill Gallery. From this base she launches herself in all directions around the country, most usually heading west to the Scottish Isles although because her mother was from Sutherland, anywhere north of Inverness draws her in.
